Gary Simmons is a nationally acclaimed pen and ink artist, along with being an experienced graphic designer, portraitist, illustrator, sculptor, fine artist, and educator.  He has taught more than 50 workshops throughout the nation and currently teaches at Henderson State University.

Simmons authored, The Technical Pen: Techniques for Artists, and has produced an instructional video on pen and ink procedures as well.  His work hangs in collections worldwide, including the White House. 

Simmons’ subject matter is often figurative and mythical inviting the viewer to seek symbolism within the composition.
